Wideband Radar Cross Section Reduction of Microstrip Patch Antenna using Polarization Converter Metasurface

open access: yes, 2022
Antenna is the key device of communication on stealth platform. It is the greatest contributor to the overall RCS. So, it is desired to reduce the radar signature of the antenna.

A subcell based approach for enhancing the absorption bandwidth of microwave absorbers using printed periodic metallic geometries

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2019
A broadband microwave absorber is designed using a two-layer periodic structure consisting of arrays of square metal patches and square loops. It has been shown through simulations and experiments that the bandwidth of the structure can be enhanced by ...

Schooling Trajectories and the Development of Brain Dynamics: A Comparative Study of Montessori and Traditional Education

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

A Prismatic Conformal Metasurface for Radar Cross-Section Reduction

open access: yes, 2020
A prismatic conformal metasurface, based on optimized multielement phase cancellation (OMEPC), is proposed for wideband radar cross-section (RCS) reduction. The metasurface is composed of 35 lattices located in 7 zones of a prismatic structure.

Transferable Deep Reinforcement Learning With Edge‐Contour‐Depth Fusion for Autonomous Wireless Capsule Endoscopy Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an anatomical landmark‐guided DRL framework for autonomous wireless capsule endoscopy navigation. Using a lightweight edge‐contour‐depth fusion module, it achieves over 97% coverage across diverse gastric anatomies. To ensure reliability, a two‐stage sim‐to‐real pipeline with an adaptive dynamic programming controller mitigates ...

In Situ Polyurea Integration for Self‐Healing, Durable Transparent Electromagnetic‐Interference Shielding Film

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A steric‐hindrance molecular engineering strategy uses dimethyl maleate (DMM) to convert poly(1,4‐butanediol) bis(4‐aminobenzoate) (PBDAB) into a precursor with reduced reactivity via Michael addition, thereby retarding the curing process to form a transparent, ultraflexible, and self‐healable secondary‑amine polyurea (PuSA) with a crosslinked network.
