Adversarial Radar Inference: Inverse Tracking, Identifying Cognition and Designing Smart Interference [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
This paper considers three inter-related adversarial inference problems involving cognitive radars. We first discuss inverse tracking of the radar to estimate the adversary's estimate of us based on the radar's actions and calibrate the radar's sensing accuracy.

A Novel Multi-Angle SAR Imaging System and Method Based on an Ultrahigh Speed Platform

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Considering the difficulty of pulse repetition frequency (PRF) design in multi-angle SAR when using ultra-high speed platforms, a multi-angle SAR imaging system in a unified coordinate system is proposed.

Dual-functional microwave photonic system for concurrent radar and secure communication via radar signal masking [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Integrating functions such as radar and communication into a single system is of great significance for the miniaturization and functional integration of future electronic warfare and 6G systems. Here, we show a dual-functional microwave photonic system for concurrent radar and secure communication.

Distributed multi‐station target tracking based on unscented particle filter and Dempster‐Shafer theory

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation
In a distributed multi‐station system, the observations received by local radar nodes for a single target will have a large signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) bias due to inconsistent radar cross‐sections from distinct angles, different distances from the ...

RadDet: A Wideband Dataset for Real-Time Radar Spectrum Detection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Real-time detection of radar signals in a wideband radio frequency spectrum is a critical situational assessment function in electronic warfare. Compute-efficient detection models have shown great promise in recent years, providing an opportunity to tackle the spectrum detection problem.

Deep Radar Detector [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
While camera and LiDAR processing have been revolutionized since the introduction of deep learning, radar processing still relies on classical tools. In this paper, we introduce a deep learning approach for radar processing, working directly with the radar complex data.

An Efficient Signal Reconstruction Algorithm for Stepped Frequency MIMO-SAR in the Spotlight and Sliding Spotlight Modes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) using stepped frequency (SF) waveforms enables a high two-dimensional (2D) resolution with wider imaging swath at relatively low cost. However, only the stripmap mode has been discussed

FMCW Radar Principles and Human Activity Recognition Systems: Foundations, Techniques, and Applications [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This book introduces the theoretical foundations of FMCW radar systems, including range and velocity estimation, signal processing techniques, and the generation of radar point clouds. A detailed discussion of Python and MATLAB as the primary programming tools for radar signal processing is provided, including the integration of libraries like NumPy ...
