Radar image simulation of complex targets

Proceedings of 2011 IEEE CIE International Conference on Radar, 2011
In this paper, we propose a novel radar imaging simulator with precise simulation of geometry and relative simulation of radiometry, to assist target recognition. The simulator is based on an new visualization procedure and a Lambertian-specular mixture model. Simulated results are compared with MiniSAR image of airplane C-130 evaluating the efficiency.

Design of Multilevel Radar Target Simulator

2007 IEEE Radar Conference, 2007
Radar target simulators form an essential requirement in the defense industry for electronic countermeasure and performance evaluation of radars. In this paper we present an field programmable gate array (FPGA) based design of a generic multilevel radar target simulator capable of simulating target echo at video, intermediate frequency (IF) and radio ...

RCS Measurements for the Implementation in Radar Target Simulators

2021 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2021
Automotive radar sensors play a vital role in the development of autonomous driving due to their ability to detect objects even under adverse conditions [1] . Besides that, radar sensors offer long range capability and compact size, which enables the implementation in tight spaces. The environmental sensing task in autonomous vehicles must be validated

Real-Time Radar, Target, and Environment Simulator

2015
In this work, a real-time radar target and environment simulator (RTSim) is presented. RTSim provides a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test system for radar signal processing units (RSPU). RTSim provides repeatable experiments for radar developers in digitally controlled but complex environments.

The Radar Echo Simulation of Moving Targets Based on HRRP

2013 IEEE International Conference on Green Computing and Communications and IEEE Internet of Things and IEEE Cyber, Physical and Social Computing, 2013
To solve the radar echo simulation of moving targets, a new method is put forward based on the high resolution range profile (HRRP) of the target in this paper. Although this method demands much storage, it avoids the complicated parameter estimation, and is more close to the scattering features of target.
