Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Iterative Techniques for Radial Basis Function Interpolation

open access: yes, 2021
The problem of interpolating functions comes up naturally in many areas of applied mathematics and natural sciences. Radial basis function methods provide an interpolant to values of a real function of $\textit{d}$ variables and are highly useful in many applications, especially if the function values are given at scattered data points.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

A Semi-Lagrangian Scheme with Radial Basis Approximation for Surface Reconstruction

open access: yes, 2016
We propose a Semi-Lagrangian scheme coupled with Radial Basis Function interpolation for approximating a curvature-related level set model, which has been proposed by Zhao et al.

Residual error based adaptive method with an optimal variable scaling parameter for RBF interpolation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2023
In infinitely smooth Radial Basis Function (RBF) based interpolation, the scaling parameter plays an important role to obtain an accurate and stable numerical solution.

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Vectorial interpolation using radial-basis-like functions

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 2002
The authors deal with vector field interpolants \(\sigma: \mathbb{R}^3\to \mathbb{R}^3\) on scattered data. By solving the variational spline problem \[ |f|^2_{m,\rho}= \rho|\text{div } f|^2_{m- 1}+ |\text{rot } f|^2_{m- 1}, \] with a parameter \(\rho\) which governs the balance of the divergence part and the rotational part of the interpolant and with

Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction: Metal Integration Principles, Strategies and Functions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.
