The Importance of the Radial Growth in the Faceting of Silicon Nanowires
Nano Letters, 2010The state of the lateral surface plays a great role in the physics of silicon nanowires. Surprisingly, little is known about the phenomena that occur during growth on the facets of the wires. We demonstrate here that the size and shape of the facets evolve with the exposure time and the radial growth speed.

RADIAL GROWTH IN BEAUCARNEA RECURVATA
American Journal of Botany, 1980An essentially unidirectional lateral meristem differentiates in the outer cortex at the hypocotyl‐primary root juncture. This meristem, termed the secondary thickening meristem (STM), then differentiates acropetally towards the shoot apex. It produces secondary tissue (conjunctive tissue) centripetally.

Form and scaling of radial growth
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2000An illustration of radial growth and form is given with examples of annual growth rings in trees. A radial version of the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation is then discussed.

Statistical analysis of radial interface growth
Journal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment, 2012Recent studies have questioned the application of standard scaling analysis to study radially growing interfaces (Escudero 2008 Phys. Rev. Lett. 100 116101; 2009 Ann. Phys. 324 1796). We show that the radial Edwards–Wilkinson (EW) equation belongs to the same universality as that obtained in the planar geometry.

Radial growth of solutions to the poisson equation
Complex Variables, Theory and Application: An International Journal, 2001We establish a radial growth estimate of the type of the iterated law of the logarithm for solutions to the Poisson equation in the unit ball.

Radial Growth of Trees at Different Altitudes
Botanical Gazette, 1946Radial changes were followed in 32 trees divided equally among four species of conifers growing on Thatuna Ridge in northern Idaho. Four trees in each species (A. grandis, L. occidentalis, P. ponderosa, and T. plicata) were located at relatively low altitude, and the other four at relatively high altitude.
