A reference solution of the flow over a circular cylinder at Re=40
The classical problem of the flow over a circular cylinder at Reynolds number 40 is considered using an accurate pseudo-spectral code. A new set of boundary conditions is proposed to improve the representation of the infinite flow domain, especially in ...

A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Locating Boosted Kerr and Schwarzschild Apparent Horizons
We describe a finite-difference method for locating apparent horizons and illustrate its capabilities on boosted Kerr and Schwarzschild black holes. Our model spacetime is given by the Kerr-Schild metric. We apply a Lorentz boost to this spacetime metric

This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Parallel Fixed Point Implementation of a Radial Basis Function Network in an FPGA
This paper proposes a parallel fixed point radial basis function (RBF) artificial neural network (ANN), implemented in a field programmable gate array (FPGA) trained online with a least mean square (LMS) algorithm.

Compactly supported radial basis functions: how and why? [PDF]
The use of radial basis functions have attracted increasing attention in recent years as an elegant scheme for high-dimensional scattered data approximation, an accepted method for machine learning, one of the foundations of mesh-free methods, an ...

A rescaled method for RBF approximation
In the recent paper [8], a new method to compute stable kernel-based interpolants has been presented. This \textit{rescaled interpolation} method combines the standard kernel interpolation with a properly defined rescaling operation, which smooths the ...

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Fast NFFT based summation of radial functions [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the fast summation of radial functions by the fast Fourier transform for nonequispaced data. We enhance the fast summation algorithm proposed in [20] by introducing a new regularization procedure based on the two-point Taylor
