Radial Solutions of Quasilinear Elliptic Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper constitutes a short survey of the subject of radial solutions for quasilinear elliptic partial differential equations where the underlying domain is either a ball, an annular region, the exterior of a ball, or the whole space.

Radial solutions of Lane-Emden-Fowler equations with Pucci's extremal operators

open access: yesBruno Pini Mathematical Analysis Seminar, 2019
We report on some recent results obtained for positive radial solutions of Lane-Emden-Fowler type equations with Pucci's operators as principal parts.

Radial functions and maximal estimates for radial solutions to the Schrodinger equation

open access: yesTsukuba Journal of Mathematics, 1998
The author establishes the following estimate for radial functions \(f\): If \(2\leq q\leq 8/3\), \(\alpha= q(2n-1)/4-n\), then \[ \Biggl(\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}| S^*f(x)|^q| x|^\alpha dx\Biggr)^{1/q}\leq C\| f\|_{H_{1/4}}, \] where the maximal functions \(S^*f\) is defined by \[ S^*f(x)= \sup_ ...

Experience With Performing Rheocarna Therapy via the Single‐Needle Method for Treatment of Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the safety and efficacy of single‐needle Rheocarna therapy for chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) with wounds. Methods Six patients with CLTI involving ulcers unresponsive to revascularization underwent single‐needle Rheocarna treatment.

Radial basis function based meshless methods for fluid flow problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This thesis is concerned with the development of meshless methods using radial basis functions for solving fluid flow problems. The advantage of meshless methods over traditional mesh-based methods is that they make use of a scattered set of collocation ...

Convex solutions of Monge-Ampère equations and systems: Existence, uniqueness and asymptotic behavior

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2020
In this paper, the equations and systems of Monge-Ampère with parameters are considered. We first show the uniqueness of of nontrivial radial convex solution of Monge-Ampère equations by using sharp estimates.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
