Radial Turbine with Pitch-Controlled Guide Vanes for Wave Energy Conversion [PDF]
In order to develop a high performance radial turbine for wave energy conversion, a radial turbine with pitch-controlled guide vanes has been proposed and investigated experimentally by model testing. As a result, the performances of the presented radial

Passing vehicles generate short‐duration wakes that can be redirected toward a vertical‐axis turbine. The interaction between wake structure, blade count, and rotational speed governs transient torque production. Low‐solidity configurations combined with tuned rotational speed enhance energy extraction under vehicle‐induced gusts.

Study on the Radial Air Turbine
The experiments were made on a rdial air turbine which was designed on the assumption that the outlet axial velocity is constant. Beside the usual measurements of pressures and temperatures, the flow was observed by a precise yaw-meter survey at several points of the machine.

Radial turbine meshing and optimisation [PDF]
Radial turbines are a class of turbomachinery that extracts work from a high-energy workingfluid. Contrary to an axial turbine seen on commercial aircraft, where the working fluid (air)travels through the turbine without having a bulk change in direction, radial turbines createhighly three-dimensional flow, with the fluid leaving the turbine ...

Large Eddy Simulations of gaseous flames in gas turbine combustion chambers [PDF]
Recent developments in numerical schemes, turbulent combustion models and the regular increase of computing power allow Large Eddy Simulation (LES) to be applied to real industrial burners.

The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.

Cooled Radial In-Flow Turbines for Advanced Gas Turbine Engines [PDF]
While the radial in-flow turbine has consistently demonstrated its capability as a high-performance component for small gas turbine engines, its use has been relegated to lower turbine-inlet-temperature cycles due to insurmountable problems with respect to the manufacturing of radial turbine rotors with internal cooling passages.

Secondary flow reduction techniques in linear turbine cascades [PDF]
This thesis investigates a novel secondary flow reduction method. The inlet boundary layer to a linear turbine cascade is skewed by injection of air through an upstream slot to oppose regular generated negative stream wise vorticity.

To enhance the power restoration speed of networked microgrids (NMGs) after extreme natural disasters and reduce the power outage of the system, this paper proposes a rapid post‐disaster restoration method for NMGs based co‐optimization of fault repair and load restoration.
