The Preliminary Design of Radial Inflow Turbines [PDF]
A procedure is described which develops the non-dimensional design of a radial inflow turbine rotor. The design is developed, for any specified non-dimensional power ratio, with the objective of minimising the inlet and discharge Mach numbers so that the passage losses are minimised.

A new RBF neural network with boundary value constraints [PDF]
We present a novel topology of the radial basis function (RBF) neural network, referred to as the boundary value constraints (BVC)-RBF, which is able to automatically satisfy a set of BVC.

Fault Detection of Electric Motors via Symmetrized Dot Pattern‐Based Features
ABSTRACT This study proposes a novel symmetrized dot pattern (SDP) approach using designed SDP‐based features, extracted from transformed vibration signals, for fault detection. These features describe the compactness, inclination, and shape of the “snowflake” diagram distributions.
