The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2001AbstractA new correlation for estimating local voidage in CFB risers is provided based on data obtained in a riser of diameter 76 mm and height 6 m using FCC particles at superficial gas velocities between 4 and 8 m/s and solids circulation fluxes up to 425 kg/m2s.

After packing, the beds were filled with paraffin, which was then allowed to solidify. Slabs were cut from the bed, and annular rings were removed by two different experimental techniques.

International Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1984AbstractA survey of F, G, and W supergiants has been carried out with the DAO radial velocity spectrometer, an efficient instrument for detecting low-amplitude velocity variations in cool stars. Observations of 78 stars over five seasons show generally good agreement with OORAVEL results for spectroscopie binaries.
