Osmotic pressure‐induced calcium response states
Acute hypotonic stress triggers distinct calcium response patterns in HEK293T cells. These signals originate from the endoplasmic reticulum via RyR2 and propagate to neighboring cells through gap junctions. This result highlights a novel calcium‐dependent mechanism underlying the intracellular and intercellular response to osmotic pressure.

The magnetohydrodynamics angular rate sensor (MHD ARS) has received much attention for its ultra-low noise in ultra-broad bandwidth and its impact resistance in harsh environments; however, its poor performance at low frequency hinders its work in long ...

Diffusion‐based size determination of solute particles: a method adapted for postsynaptic proteins
We present a diffusion‐based approach for measuring the size of macromolecules and their complexes, and demonstrate its use on postsynaptic proteins. The method requires fluorescein‐labelled protein samples, a microfluidic device that maintains laminar flow for said samples, a microscope recording the emitted fluorescent signals, and an analytic ...

VARIATIONS OF THE β CEPHEI Hα LINE PARAMETERS IN 1993 - 1998.
We use high-dispersion CCD spectrograms obtained in 1993 - 1998 to study parameter variations of the absorption and emission components Hα line of the star β Cephei. We show that radial velocity of the emission component does not depend on star pulsation

Commission 30: Radial Velocities: (Vitesses Radiales) [PDF]
Commission 30 has 120 members in 28 countries who are active in the area of radial velocities. During the past triennium 11 new members have joined the commission. The work of the commission covers a wide range of topics all of which concern the application of the Doppler effect to astronomical objects, including galaxies and the interstellar medium as

Summary Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves is investigated through feedforward and recurrent neural networks as well as dynamic mode decomposition. The goal is to predict future ship motion variables based on past data collected on the field, using equation‐free approaches.

Radial velocity signatures of Zeeman broadening [PDF]
Stellar activity signatures such as spots and plage can significantly limit the search for extrasolar planets. Current models of activity-induced radial velocity (RV) signals focused on the impact of temperature contrast in spots predicting the signal to diminish toward longer wavelengths. On the other hand, the relative importance of the Zeeman effect

Neural Network Adaptive Control With Long Short‐Term Memory
ABSTRACT In this study, we propose a novel adaptive control architecture that provides dramatically better transient response performance compared to conventional adaptive control methods. This is accomplished by the synergistic employment of a traditional adaptive neural network (ANN) controller and a long short‐term memory (LSTM) network.

Structure of turbulent velocity field in the discharge stream from a standard Rushton turbine impeller [PDF]
The radial discharge jet from a standard Rushton turbine was investigated by the Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA) method. Several distances from the impeller blades (in the radial direction) were chosen for the measurement of axial profiles: all three ...
