Numerical Simulation of Gas Production Behavior Using Radial Lateral Well and Horizontal Snake Well Depressurization Mining of Hydrate Reservoir in the Shenhu Sea Area of the South China Sea

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Improving the production capacity of natural gas hydrates (NGHs) is crucial for their commercial development. Based on the data of the first on-site testing production of NGHs in the Shenhu Sea area, numerical methods were used to analyze the production ...

Bi‐ and Mono‐Allelic RFC1 Expansion in a North American Cohort With Idiopathic Axonal Neuropathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective RFC1 biallelic repeat expansion is increasingly recognized as a cause of chronic idiopathic axonal polyneuropathy (CIAP), but it remains challenging to know who to test. This study aims to determine the prevalence of biallelic and monoallelic RFC1 expansions and their corresponding neuropathy phenotypes in CIAP patients and identify ...

Study on Numerical Simulation of Borehole Azimuthal Acoustic Reflection Imaging Logging in Adjacent Well Positioning

open access: yesCejing jishu
To verify the feasibility of applying the azimuthal acoustic reflection imaging logging technology in the positioning of adjacent wells, and to address the issue that existing technologies mainly focus on the fixed distance between the target well and ...

Re‐Purposing Sapropterin (Kuvan) for ACTA2‐Related Multisystemic Smooth Muscle Dysfunction Syndrome: A Translational Mechanistic and First‐In‐Human Therapeutic Report

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome (MSMDS) is an ultra‐rare, ACTA2‐related disorder characterized by severe cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and smooth muscle dysfunction. Using molecular dynamics simulations and in silico drug screening, we identified that sapropterin dihydrochloride (Kuvan) is a candidate capable of ...

Numerical Simulation of Vertical Well Depressurization with Different Deployments of Radial Laterals in Class 1-Type Hydrate Reservoir

open access: yesEnergies
Gas production efficiency is a key indicator in the commercial development of natural gas hydrates (NGHs). Based on the data from the first natural gas hydrate field test production in the Shenhu Sea area of China, the gas production capability of Class ...

Triangular Index Ratio as an Alternative Method to the Alpha Angle for Defining the Presence of Cam Morphology: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Cam morphology, which is a significant risk factor for hip osteoarthritis, is commonly quantified by the alpha angle (AA). This study aims to explore the potential of the triangular index ratio (TIR) to quantify cam morphology on anteroposterior radiographs by assessing the association between TIR‐defined cam morphology and the development of

Individuals with Multi‐Joint Osteoarthritis Demonstrate Larger Longitudinal Declines in Frailty: Data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Test the hypothesis that multi‐joint osteoarthritis would modify the relation between time and frailty progression, where more affected joints would lead to larger declines over 6‐years compared to those without osteoarthritis using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.

Laboratory experiments on blockage removing and stimulation of CBM reservoirs by composite pulsating hydraulic fracturing of radial horizontal wells

open access: yesNatural Gas Industry B, 2019
It is a common phenomenon during CBM drilling and production that reservoir damage is not eliminated completely. In view of this, a technical idea of composite pulsating hydraulic fracturing of radial horizontal wells which is conducive to blockage ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
