Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Optimizing radiation therapy treatments by exploring tumour ecosystem dynamics in-silico [PDF]
In this contribution, we propose a system-level compartmental population dynamics model of tumour cells that interact with the patient (innate) immune system under the impact of radiation therapy (RT).

A Theoretical Sub-0.1 dB Loss Single Mode Fiber-To-Chip Edge Coupler for Silicon Nitride Waveguides
A low loss optical interconnection between optical fibers and photonic integrated circuits is critical for high performance photonic systems. In the past decade, spot size converters, subwavelength waveguide grating (SWG) structures, and different ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Detection of Polonium-210 in Environmental, Biological and Food Samples: A Review
Ingestion of polonium-210 from environmental media and food can cause serious health hazards (e.g., gastrointestinal symptoms, tumours, etc.) and has been a public health concern worldwide since the 2006 poisoning of Agent Litvinenko 210Po in Russia ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
