Detector measures power in 50 to 30,000 GHz radiation band [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
Broadband power detector assembly measures electromagnetic radiation in the 50 to 30,000 GHz band. The assembly includes a matched pair of detectors which incorporate thin-film radiation absorbers.

Exercise Interventions in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With Paediatric Bone Tumours—A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bone tumours present significant challenges for affected patients, as multimodal therapy often leads to prolonged physical limitations. This is particularly critical during childhood and adolescence, as it can negatively impact physiological development and psychosocial resilience.

Calculation of transport parameters of gamma-radiation detectors based on semi-insulating semiconductors [PDF]

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2008
A method of fast determination of the high resistivity detector charge collection parameters with the use of the detector dosimetric characteristics and by means of mathematical simulation is proposed.

Correlation measurements with on-off detectors

open access: yes, 2013
We present a general method to detect nonclassical radiation fields with systems of on-off detectors. We especially study higher order correlations for the identification of nonclassical radiation.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

A mathemetical model of the charge accumulation and the spectrum formation in detectors on the basis of CdTe (CdZnTe) at the gamma-quanta irradiation [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2017
The features of spectrum formation in CdTe (CdZnTe) detectors under gamma quanta radiation are presented. The main characteristics of a semiconductor detector, i.e. the energy resolution and the registration efficiency, are determined. The results can be

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.
