Heat and Mass Transfer during Baking: Product Quality aspects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Most food product qualities are developed during heating processes. Therefore the internal heating and mass transfer of water are important aspects in food processing. Heating of food products is mostly induced by convection heating.

Partitioning of heat fluxes to lumped body engulfed in double pool fires [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Heat transfer analysis of the lumped body in a single pool fire (SPF) and double pool fire (DPF) are analysed. In the case of an SPF, a lumped body is engulfed in the fire with a thermocouple attached. In the case of DPF, the lumped body is only engulfed

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Conjugate Heat Transfer Characteristics in a Highly Thermally Loaded Film Cooling Configuration with TBC in Syngas

open access: yesAerospace, 2019
Future power equipment tends to take hydrogen or middle/low heat-value syngas as fuel for low emission. The heat transfer of a film-cooled turbine blade shall be influenced more by radiation.

Time-independent hybrid enrichment for finite element solution of transient conduction–radiation in diffusive grey media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We investigate the effectiveness of the partition-of-unity finite element method for transient conduction–radiation problems in diffusive grey media. The governing equations consist of a semi-linear transient heat equation for the temperature ?eld and a ...
