The radiation-sterilization of cephalosporins
The International Journal of Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1980Abstract The effect of γ-rays on the potency of cephalosporin powders has been examined with a view to their radiation-sterilization. Whilst cephalexin and cephaloridine are hardly affected by radiation doses of up to 5 Mrad, the potencies of cephalothin Na and cephapirin Na are reduced at this dose level.
