Radiation tolerance of nickel–graphene nanocomposite with disordered graphene
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 2018Metal–graphene nanocomposites are expected to have excellent radiation tolerance, and may become a candidate structural material for advanced fission reactors.

Radiation Tolerance of NROM Embedded Products
IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 2010Radiation tolerance of NROM memories is demonstrated at the level of industrial 4 Mbit memory embedded modules, specifically not designed for operation in radiation harsh environments. The memory fabricated in 0.18 um technology remains fully functional after total ionization doses exceeding 100 krad.

Radiation Tolerant Embedded Memory
2003Abstract : Report Developed under SBIR contract for topic MDA02-021. PicoDyne has developed Ultra-Low-Power(ULP) CMOS design techniques and processes, and combined them with Radiation Hardened By Design methodologies to form its Cool-RAD(tm) process. Complex ULP and Cool- RAD(tm) parts have been built, including data compression devices, Reed-Solomon ...

RADIATION TOLERANCE LIMITS OF THE BRAINSTEM
Neurosurgery, 2008One of the key limitations of gamma knife surgery arises from the radiation safety tolerance limit of the brainstem. The authors conducted an analysis of patients with intra-axial brainstem lesions and documented the incidence of adverse radiation imaging effects (ARIE) and new neurological deficits after gamma knife surgery.Thirty-eight patients (39 ...

Radiation tolerance of the vaginal mucosa
International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, 1979Abstract Sixteen patients with cancer of the vagina that were controlled locally for a minimum of eighteen months after teletherapy (T) or brachytherapy (B) or both (T & B), were analyzed for radiation tolerance of the vaginal mucosa. The site of vaginal necrosis did not always coincide with the site of the tumor.

The radiation-tolerant x-ray monitor
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2008A vacuum photoelectric detector (monitor) (VPD) designed for plasma tomography, megnetohydrodynamics monitoring, and imaging with the help of thermal x-ray radiation on the ITER facility is described. Laboratory experiments demonstrate that VPD has high sensitivity to thermal x rays and low sensitivity to hard gamma rays and neutrons.

The acute radiation syndrome in man is clinically bounded by death at high dose levels and by the prodromal syndrome of untoward physiological effects at minimal levels of clinically effective exposure. As in lower animals, man experiences principally three acute modes of death from radiation exposure (Bond et al., 1965).

Radiation - Tolerant Logarithmic Amplifier
IRE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1962In any conceptual design of a flight vehicle utilizing nuclear-type propulsion the amount of necessary shielding will detract from the allowable payload. The ability of electronic instruments to tolerate radiation and temperature extremes will then be of prime importance in these designs.
