Impact of Cattaneo–Christov Heat and Mass Flux on MHD Hybrid Nanofluid Flow Over an Extending Surface With Convective and Mass Flux Effects

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the flow of a magnetized hybrid nanofluid over a permeable stretching surface. The mass and thermal transport within the system is regulated using the Cattaneo–Christov flux theory. The fluid is additionally subjected to thermophoresis, chemical reaction, Brownian motion, and activation energy effects.

Radiation‐Absorptive Heat Transport in Buoyancy‐Driven MHD Nanofluids Flow With Cross‐Diffusion and Chemical Interaction Effects Over a Vertical Moving Plate

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article investigates the Soret–Dufour cross‐diffusion effects on radiation‐absorptive unsteady free‐convection of magnetized nanofluids (TiO2–water$$ {\mathrm{TiO}}_2\hbox{--} \mathrm{water} $$ and Cu–water$$ \mathrm{Cu}\hbox{--} \mathrm{water} $$) flow over a vertical moving permeable plate.

Self‐Aggregation of Convective Clouds With Interactive Sea Surface Temperature

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, 2020
This study investigates the feedbacks between an interactive sea surface temperature (SST) and the self‐aggregation of deep convective clouds, using a cloud‐resolving model in nonrotating radiative‐convective equilibrium.

Bioconvective Unsteady Casson Hybrid Nanofluid Flow on a Variable Darcy Regime Between Two Rotating Disks With Variable Heat Source

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study carries significant consequences in various engineering applications, such as cooling rotating disk surfaces, improving chemical reactor performance, and designing filtration systems. Considering these main applications in view, the aim of this study is to investigate time‐dependent Casson hybrid nanofluid flow on a permeable ...

RCEMIP‐ACI: Aerosol‐Cloud Interactions in a Multimodel Ensemble of Radiative‐Convective Equilibrium Simulations

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems
Aerosol‐cloud interactions are a persistent source of uncertainty in climate research. This study presents findings from a model intercomparison project examining the impact of aerosols on clouds and climate in convection‐permitting radiative‐convective ...

Sensitivity of Radiative‐Convection Equilibrium to Divergence Damping in GFDL‐FV3‐Based Cloud‐Resolving Model Simulations

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, 2018
Using a nonhydrostatic model based on a version of Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory's FV3 dynamical core at a cloud‐resolving resolution in radiative‐convective equilibrium (RCE) configuration, the sensitivity of the mean RCE climate to the ...

Quantifying Convective Aggregation Using the Tropical Moist Margin's Length

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, 2020
On small scales, the tropical atmosphere tends to be either moist or very dry. This defines two states that, on large scales, are separated by a sharp margin, well identified by the antimode of the bimodal tropical column water vapor distribution ...

The Physics of Orographic Elevated Heating in Radiative–Convective Equilibrium

open access: yesJournal of the Atmospheric Sciences, 2017
AbstractElevated heating of the atmosphere by large plateaus has been argued to influence regional climate in Asia and other regions, but the mechanisms that cause the troposphere to equilibrate at warmer temperatures over elevated terrain are not well understood.

Microwave‐Assisted Alcoholysis of Ethylene–Vinyl Acetate: Phenomenological and Thermal Evolution of EVAOH Terpolymers

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Microwave‐assisted alcoholysis converts EVA into EVAOH terpolymers, promoting a progressive transition from EVA‐like crystallites to VOH‐rich hydrogen‐bonded crystalline domains. Solvent‐controlled swelling influences conversion kinetics, while thermal analysis reveals a sigmoidal increase in melting temperature that a two‐population crystallization ...
