Electron spin polarization in radical pair recombination in micelles. Cage and supercage models
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1994Characteristic features of chemically induced dynamic electron polarization (CIDEP) in radical pair (RP) recombination in micelles are analyzed theoretically. The confinement effect of micelles is modeled by the spherical stepwise potential well for the radicals.

Computer modeling of the formation of radical pairs in amorphous high density polyethylene (HDPE)
Journal of Polymer Science Part B: Polymer Physics, 1996Hydrogen atom ejection and subsequent radical pair formation have been modeled in a simple atomistic study employing a BIOSYM amorphous polyethylene macrocell. Mean radical pair distances have been obtained for various maximum hydrogen displacement vibrational cone angles (o) in the model.

This study explored the origins of the observation that the overall quantum yields for polymer photodegradation depend on the polymer chain length. The (CH3(CH2)nC(O)NHCH2CH2Cp)2Mo2(CO)6 (n = 3, 8, 13, 18) complexes (1−1−4−4) were synthesized and used as model complexes for the study.

Analytical model for spin dynamics in radical pairs under the spin-locking condition
The Journal of Chemical PhysicsSpin dynamics in triplet radical pairs are theoretically studied under the spin-locking condition, where singlet–triplet mixing is blocked by the resonant microwave field. A key assumption in the theory is simultaneous excitations of T+–T0 and T−–T0 transitions in triplet radical pairs. This assumption allows for the application of a three-state model [

The unusual antiphase electron spin polarizations, attributed to residual spin correlations in incompletely separated radical pairs, are treated by a dynamic model in which the polarized electron spin transitions occur as the radicals diffuse through the separations where the transitions are in resonance with the microwave field.
