Drainage Basins on Vatnajökull Mapped by Radio Echo Soundings
Hydrology Research, 1982 Maps are presented for the glacier surface and the bedrock of two areas on Vatnajökull - Tungnárjökull and Sylgjujökull in the western ice cap and Eyjabakkajökull in the northeast. The ice surface maps are obtained by precision barometric altimeter. They form the basis for delimitation of ice drainage basins.
