Design Issues of Digital and Analog Chaotic RoF Link Using Chaos Message Masking

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This work presents the joint use of Radio Over Fiber and optical chaos to investigate the secure ROF link. Merging the two technologies, optical chaos for physical layer communication security and Radio over Fiber creates new design issues which have ...

Exploring Pb‐Chelation Chemistry in the Crystallization Dynamics of Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanism of how Pb‐chelation chemistry governs coordination geometry and initial nucleation behavior at the precursor level of halide perovskite, by regulating the deprotonation state of a chelating additive, is elucidated. This allows for innovative reaction‐system design principles that promote coherent growth while suppressing defect formation in

The Analysis of Service Convergence in an Optical Access Network

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
In recent years, the increasing number of internet-connected devices has exceeded the capacity of fourth-generation (4G) cellular networks, leading to the development of fifth-generation (5G) technology, designed to offer higher speeds, greater bandwidth,

2 $\times$ 2 MIMO OFDM-RoF System Employing LMS-Based Equalizer With I/Q Imbalance Compensation at 60 GHz

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2014
Multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) technology is a promising method to increase spectral efficiency in wireless communications. In this paper, a 60-GHz orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing radio over fiber (OFDM-RoF) system employing 2 × ...

Dipole‐Engineered Conductive Additives for Ultrastable Interphase Evolution in High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.

2D Pre-Beamforming Control Method via Analog Radio Over Fiber for Wireless Communication Systems With Massive Planar Array Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Access
To rapidly deploy large capacity wireless communication services using high frequency bands, a system is being considered that use radio-over-fiber (RoF) technology to separate the wireless base station function into a central station (CS) with signal ...

Tuning Separator Chemistry: Improving Zn Anode Compatibility via Functionalized Chitin Nanofibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanochitin derived from waste shrimp shells is used to fabricate separators for aqueous zinc batteries. By tuning the density of amine and carboxylic surface groups, water mobility at the separator interface is controlled, promoting uniform zinc deposition, suppressing dendrite growth, and enabling exceptional cycling stability exceeding 2000 h ...

Optical multicarrier generator for radio-over-fiber systems

open access: yesOptics Express, 2008
We propose an optical multicarrier generation method for radio-over-fiber (ROF) systems. The multicarrier generator is composed of a phase-modulated laser and two chirped fiber Bragg gratings used as flattening filters. The chirped gratings are spectrally tailored to equalize the intrinsically uneven envelope of the phase-modulated laser spectrum.
