No Galaxy-scale [C ii] Fast Outflow in the z = 6.72 Red Quasar HSC J1205–0000
HSC 120505.09-000027.9 (J1205–0000) is one of the highest redshift ( z = 6.72) dust-reddened quasars (red quasars) known to date. We present an improved analysis of Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array data of the [C ii ] 158 μ m line and the ...

The Broad Line Region in Active Galactic Nuclei [PDF]
We review constraints on models of the broad line region that are imposed by observations of the emission lines in Active Galactic Nuclei. Comparison of high and low ionization lines in sources with FWHM Hbeta < 4000 km/s points toward low ionization line emission produced in a flattened geometry (the accretion disk?) with an associated high ionization

The VLBA 2cm Survey: Kinematics of pc-Scale Structures in Active Galactic Nuclei [PDF]
The kinematics of jets in active galactic nuclei (QSOs, BL Lacs, Radio Galaxies and Empty Field objects) on parsec scales is being studied with Very Long Baseline Array observations at 15 GHz of a sample of more than 170 radio sources. More than 1000 images have been taken since 1994.

Powerful Radio-loud Quasars Are Triggered by Galaxy Mergers in the Cosmic Bright Ages
While supermassive black holes are ubiquitous features of galactic nuclei, only a small minority are observed during episodes of luminous accretion. The physical mechanism(s) driving the onset of fueling and ignition in these active galactic nuclei (AGN)

Constraining the Location of the γ-Ray Emission Region in Radio-loud AGN 3C 380
A detailed broadband spectral and temporal study of a radio-loud active galactic nucleus, 3C 380, is carried out using 14.5 yr of Fermi-LAT data, available Swift observations, and data from other observatories, including AstroSat (2020 August).
