An Investigation of 5 yr Simultaneous X-Ray and Radio Light Curves of the Dwarf Seyfert Galaxy UGC 6728

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present serendipitous simultaneous radio and X-ray light curves of the dwarf Seyfert galaxy UGC 6728 spanning 5 yr. The X-ray light curve exhibits a flaring period, followed by a gradual rise and decline.

The jet-disc connection: evidence for a reinterpretation in radio loud and radio quiet active galactic nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
To constrain models of the jet-disc connection, we explore Eddington ratios reported in Foschini (2011) and interpret them in relation to the values in Sikora et al.

Controlling 3D Contractility via Engineered Fibrous Hydrogel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 36, 4 May 2026.
A tunable composite contractile assembly (CCA) is developed that can permit or resist contraction without changing cell‐adhesion and density, unlike collagen whose inherent coupling of these ECM cues limits its use as a platform in contractility studies.

Late-time Radio Brightening and Emergence of a Radio Jet in the Changing-look AGN 1ES 1927+654

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We present multifrequency (5–345 GHz) and multiresolution radio observations of 1ES 1927+654, widely considered one of the most unusual and extreme changing-look active galactic nuclei (CL-AGNs).

The Role of Millimeter VLBI Observations in AGN Research [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
VLBI at millimeter wavelengths (mm-VLBI) allows the detailed imaging of compact galactic and extragalactic radio sources with micro-arcsecond scale resolution, unaccessible by other observing techniques.

PAGaN I: Multi-Frequency Polarimetry of AGN Jets with KVN

open access: yes, 2015
Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) with bright radio jets offer the opportunity to study the structure of and physical conditions in relativistic outflows. For such studies, multi-frequency polarimetric very long baseline interferometric (VLBI) observations ...

Multifrequency Method for Mapping Active Galactic Nuclei with Allowance for the Frequency-Dependent Image Shift [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the problem of multifrequency VLBA image synthesis and spectral-index mapping for active galactic nuclei related to the necessity of taking into account the frequency-dependent image shift. We describe our generalized multifrequency synthesis

The host galaxies of radio-loud active galactic nuclei: mass dependences, gas cooling and active galactic nuclei feedback [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2005
The properties of the host galaxies of a well-defined sample of 2215 radio-loud active galactic nuclei (AGN) with redshifts 0.03 10 23 W Hz -1 is a strong function of stellar mass, rising from nearly zero below a stellar mass of 10 10 M○. to more than 30 per cent at stellar masses of 5 x 10 11 M○.. In contrast to the integrated [O III] luminosity

Experimental methods in chemical engineering: Atomic absorption spectrometry—AAS

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 5, Page 2206-2224, May 2026.
Abstract Elements absorb electromagnetic radiation (light) of a specific wavelength in proportion to the number of atoms in its path. As the atoms absorb this light energy, electrons rise from the ground state to an excited state. In atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), high temperatures produce clouds of atoms from the sample (atomization) and ...

Optical- and UV-continuum Morphologies of Compact Radio Source Hosts

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present the first systematic search for UV signatures from radio source-driven active galactic nuclei (AGN) feedback in Compact Steep Spectrum (CSS) radio galaxies. Owing to their characteristic sub-galactic jets (1–20 kpc projected linear sizes), CSS
