The radio continuum structure of bright galaxies at 1.4 GHZ. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
The (double) source structure of the radio continuum emission of the more powerful radio sources associated with galaxies is only briefly discussed in Chapter VI. In Chapter VII we gave a fractional luminosity function for these sources. Some evidence is

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Investigation of Galactic Supernova Remnants and their Environment in 26.°6 < l < 30.°6, ∣b∣ ≤ 1.°25 Using Radio Surveys

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
The problem of missing Galactic supernova remnants (SNRs) refers to the issue that the currently known Galactic SNRs are significantly incomplete compared to the theoretical prediction.

Counterintuitive Fluorescence Blue Shift in Symmetry Breaking Dicationic Bis(indolium) with Two‐Photon Absorption Properties for NIR Living Cell Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Highly water‐soluble dicationic bis(indolium) dyes have been prepared, showing excellent two‐photon absorption and light emission. Their fluorescence behavior discloses an unusual increasing blue shift with increasing solvent polarity, which, in parallel, is beneficial for enhanced detection in biological media.

Crystal Growth Engineering for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Metal Plating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This research employed the rare‐earth ion dysprosium (Dy) to modulate aqueous zinc (Zn) metal plating. Integrated multiscale experiments and computational modeling unveiled the preferential adsorption of Dy on specific crystal facets, which activated screw dislocation‐driven Zn growth.

Radio Near-infrared Imaging of Dual Active Galactic Nuclei Candidates

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We report the results of a pilot study that searched for dual active galactic nuclei (AGN) in local ( z  10 ^8 K) radio sources that indicate the presence of either a parsec-scale-separation dual AGN ( d _sep  ∼ 90 and ∼56 pc, respectively) or a radio ...

A relationship between the integrated CO intensity and the radio continuum emission in spiral galaxies

open access: yes, 1990
In an effort to determine the role played by cosmic ray electrons and interstellar radiation fields on the collapse of molecular clouds, a survey was begun to investigate the relationship between the radio continuum brightness emission and the integrated

Radio Continuum and CO emission in spiral galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We have studied the relationship between the Radio Continuum (RC) and CO emission for a set of galaxies selected from the BIMA SONG sample. By combining new 20 cm VLA B-array observations with BIMA maps it has been possible to investigate the behaviour ...
