Radio continuum and OH line emission of high-
We present a study of the arcsecond-scale radio continuum and OH line emission of a sample of known OH megamaser (OHM) galaxies with z ≥ 0.15 using archival Very Large Array (VLA) data and also the results of our pilot Five-hundred-meter Aperture ...

Broadband VLA Spectral-line Survey of a Sample of Ionized Jet Candidates
The study of the interaction between ionized jets, molecular outflows, and their environments is critical to understanding high-mass star formation, especially because jets and outflows are thought to be key in the transfer of angular momentum outward ...

Flat-spectrum Radio Continuum Emission Associated with ϵ Eridani [PDF]
Abstract We present Very Large Array observations at 33.0 GHz that detect emission coincident with ϵ Eridani to within 0.″07 (0.2 au at the distance of this star), with a positional accuracy of 0.″05. This result strongly supports the suggestion of previous authors that the quiescent centimeter emission comes from the star and not from a

A multi-epoch study of radio continuum emission from massive protostars [PDF]
ABSTRACT We report the results of the Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA) observation of five massive protostars at 6 and 22.2 GHz. The aim of the study was to compare their current fluxes and positions with previous observations to search for evidence of variability.

A global view on star formation: The GLOSTAR Galactic plane survey
Context. Extended radio continuum emission and its linear polarization play a key role in probing large-scale structures of synchrotron and free-free emission in the Milky Way.

Radio continuum emission from knots in the DG Tauri jet [PDF]
Context: HH 158, the jet from the young star DG Tau, is one of the few sources of its type where jet knots have been detected at optical and X-ray wavelengths. Aims: To search, using Very Large Array observations of this source, radio knots and if detected, compare them with the optical and X-ray knots.

Nonthermal Radio Continuum Emission from Young Nearby Stars
Abstract Young and magnetically active low-mass stars often exhibit nonthermal coronal radio emission owing to the gyration of electrons in their magnetized chromospheres. This emission is easily detectable at centimeter wavelengths with the current sensitivity of large radio interferometers like the Very Large Array (VLA).

RADIO CONTINUUM EMISSION AND WATER MASERS TOWARD CB 54 [PDF]
We present high angular resolution observations of water masers at 1.3 cm and radio continuum emission at 1.3, 3.6 and 6 cm towards the Bok globule CB 54 using the Very Large Array. At 1.3 cm, with subarsecond angular resolution, we detect a radio continuum compact source located to the south-west of the globule and spatially coincident with a mid ...

Radio Continuum Emission and Optical Emission-Line Activity in the Nuclei of Spirals [PDF]
As a step towards the understanding of the phenomena occurring in galactic nuclei, we find that the ratio between the radio continuum emission of the nuclei of spiral galaxies and their optical luminosity is related to optical signs of nuclear activity, such as the emission line strengths of the H∝ and [NII] λ6584 lines.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...
