Frequency Matters: On the Impact of Carrier Frequency on Privacy in Radio Fingerprinting

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications Letters
Radio Frequency Fingerprinting (RFF) relies on unique inherent imperfections in radios’ hardware to authenticate devices based on Radio Frequency emissions. In this letter, we consider that fingerprints collected for multi-channel transmitters on certain frequencies get partially leaked to an adversary willing to track them, without information about ...

Escaping the Scaling Relationships in Oxygen Reduction Catalysis: Implications for PEM Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Escaping the scaling relationships of the oxygen reduction reaction is vital for hydrogen fuel cells. This outlook examines how interfacial heterogeneity, spanning the subsurface lattice, chemisorption layer, and near‐interface solvation volume, mechanistically decouples intermediate binding energetics.

A High‐Resolution THz‐PCF Sensing Framework: Precise Identification of Food Preservatives Through Refractive Index Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
As presented in the graphical abstract, it depicts an image of a terahertz photonic crystal fiber (THz‐PCF) sensor with a polygonal shape in the core, which is filled with an analyte, and air slots in the cladding. The THz waves will travel through the fiber, and due to increased light‐matter interaction in the sensing region, changes in refractive ...

Enhancing Performance and Reliability of Hf1‐xZrxO2 Morphotropic Phase Boundary Films via Nanolaminate Structuring and Microwave Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hf–Zr–O‐based morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) thin films often suffer from limited endurance and poor uniformity due to intrinsic phase instability. This work proposes a nanolaminate architecture that spatially separates competing phases, stabilizes phase formation, and suppresses wake‐up‐induced degradation.

Radio Frequency Fingerprinting via Deep Learning: Challenges and Opportunities

open access: yes2024 International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (IWCMC)
Radio Frequency Fingerprinting (RFF) techniques promise to authenticate wireless devices at the physical layer based on inherent hardware imperfections introduced during manufacturing. Such RF transmitter imperfections are reflected into over-the-air signals, allowing receivers to accurately identify the RF transmitting source.

Electroactive 3D Porous Graphene Foam Impedimetric Biosensor for Ultrasensitive Detection of MCF‐7‐Cells‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles in Human Serum

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A label‐free impedimetric biosensor based on electroactive 3D porous graphene foam enables ultrasensitive and selective detection of CD81 protein and MCF‐7 cell‐derived extracellular vesicles in human serum. Detection limits of 0.048 fg/mL for CD81 and ∼24 EVs/mL are achieved, demonstrating a robust platform for selective, label‐free, and ...

DA-ResNeXt50 method for radio frequency fingerprint identification based on time-frequency and bispectral feature fusion

open access: yesDianxin kexue
To address the problems that a single feature in radio frequency fingerprint recognition could not fully represent the integrity of the signal and that the differences between features of different classes were small, which limited the recognition ...
