We present elastomeric three‐dimensional (3D) microstructures fabricated via two‐photon polymerization (2PP) and post‐processed through wet etching, for quantifying nanonewton (nN)‐scale forces applied by healthy and diseased neural cells. The mechanically characterized free‐standing beam architectures enable measurement of traction forces of ...

Rapid thiol‐maleimide addition frequently outpaces mixing, resulting in heterogeneous hydrogels. S‐nitrosothiols act as thiol‐protecting groups, allowing uniform mixing with maleimide‐functionalized polymers before gelation. Sodium thiosulfate or sodium ascorbate then regenerates thiols on demand, triggering controlled thiol‐maleimide crosslinking ...

A Simulation Study of Low-power Relativistic Jets: Flow Dynamics and Radio Morphology of FR-I Jets
Radio galaxies are classified into two primary categories based on their morphology: center-brightened FR-I and edge-brightened FR-II. It is believed that the jet power and interactions with the ambient medium govern the deceleration and decollimation of

This thesis describes two studies of extragalactic radio sources at high resolution and sensitivity. Most of the well-known facts about radio sources come from low-resolution imaging, despite the fact that much of the interesting physics (that of the jets and hotspots) occurs on scales that are small compared to the overall source size.

A mask‐free and cost‐effective UV‐pico‐second laser‐based microfabrication method is proposed to fabricate large‐area biodegradable microelectrode arrays and pressure sensors. These devices demonstrate low impedance, good conformability, excellent biocompatibility, and rapid degradation, providing a new route for next‐generation transient electronics ...

We report milliarcsecond-scale VLBI detections of compact radio nuclei in four spiral-hosted double-lobed radio-loud AGNs (spiral DRAGNs), a rare class that challenges the traditional association of powerful jets with elliptical hosts.

Multiple Emission Regions in Jets of the Low-Luminosity Active Galactic Nucleus in NGC 4278
The Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) has detected very-high-energy gamma rays from the low-ionization nuclear emission-line region galaxy NGC 4278, which has a low-luminosity active galactic nucleus (LLAGN) and symmetric, mildly ...

The purpose of this review is to outline the systematic properties of radio jets on kpc scales, as derived from the basic observations of surface brightness and linear polarization and to emphasize the uncertainties in the determination of their physical parameters. These results come primarily from observations of about 100 jets with the VLA: a fuller
