New Mechanism of Pulsar Radio Emission
It is shown that pulsar radio emission can be generated effectively through a streaming motion in the polar-cap regions of a pulsar magnetosphere causing nonresonant growth of waves that can escape directly. As in other beam models, a relatively low-energy high-density beam is required. The instability generates quasi-transverse waves in a beam mode at

Abstract In this study, the properties, equilibrium, and stability of compact objects within the framework of teleparallel gravity with the generalized MIT bag model are investigated. By incorporating the modified field equations, the influence of the generalized bag constant on the structure and physical characteristics of quark stars and neutron ...

Pulsar-candidate Selection Using a Generative Adversarial Network and ResNeXt
Pulsar research has been a hot topic in the area of astronomy since they were first discovered. Pulsar discovery is fundamental for pulsar research. While pulsars are now visible across the electromagnetic spectrum, pulsar searches with modern radio ...

Coherent Emission Mechanisms in Radio Pulsars [PDF]
A theory of pulsar radio emission generation, in which the observed waves are produced directly by the maser-type plasma instabilities on the anomalous cyclotron-Cherenkov resonance $$\omega - \kappa _{ \shortparallel \nu \shortparallel } + \omega _B /\gamma _{res} = 0$$

The Benefit of Space Clocks for the Deep Space Network
Abstract Ground‐based atomic clocks have been the foundation of the Deep Space Network's (DSN's) ability to provide high‐precision tracking to deep space users for navigation and radio science since its inception in the mid‐1960s. This paper describes the development of space clocks that could aid the DSN and the solar system exploration enterprise ...

Superfluid turbulence and pulsar glitch statistics
Experimental evidence is reviewed for the existence of superfluid turbulence in a differentially rotating, spherical shell at high Reynolds numbers ($\Rey\gsim 10^3$), such as the outer core of a neutron star.

Searching for pulsed emission from XTE J0929-314 at high radio frequencies
The aim of this work is to search for radio signals in the quiescent phase of accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars, in this way giving an ultimate proof of the recycling model, thereby unambiguously establishing that accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars ...

Deriving birth timing of roe deer fawns from body measurements to limit mowing mortality
Every spring, hiding roe deer fawns Capreolus capreolus in meadows are injured or killed by mowing activities. To assess the temporal overlap between mowing activities and the fawning period, and thus help reduce the risk of mowing death, we have determined the average parturition date in three regions of Bavaria, southern Germany.
