Solar radio-frequency radiation

Journal of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1950
The paper attempts to survey research on solar radio-frequency radiation, or solar noise, to early 1948. After an introduction concerned with history and units for specification of intensity, the observed characteristics of solar noise in the wavelength range from 1 cm to some metres are described.

On the connection between gamma radiation and radio radiation in pulsars

JETP Letters, 2007
A model proposed for radio radiation from a pulsar suggests that coherent radio radiation is generated in a vacuum gap over the polar cap of a neutron star. In this model, x and gamma rays from the pulsar are generated due to the inverse Compton scattering of radio radiation by ultrarelativistic electrons accelerated in the gap.

Characteristics of cosmic radio radiation

Physics Today, 1961
Cosmic radio radiation is radiation of extraterrestrial origin in the radio-frequency portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Such radiation was discovered by Karl Jansky of Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1932 on a wavelength of 14.6 m. While studying the direction of arrival of the atmospheric disturbances which interfere with the transatlantic short-

Neutron Polarization Induced by Radio Frequency Radiation

Physical Review Letters, 2000
We have measured that an unpolarized ultracold neutron beam gets polarized through its interaction with a resonant radio frequency field. Both spin components pass through the field and end up in one single spin state. We present a simple description for this surprising effect together with first experimental results.

Radio-Immunology of Ablative Radiation

2019
High ablative doses of radiation can be safely delivered to tumors using stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), or stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) with local control rates similar to surgery. The immunological impact of various radiation schedules, from conventional protracted fractionation to short ...

RADIO FREQUENCY RADIATION EXPOSURE STANDARDS

Health Physics, 2001
Radio frequency radiation exposure standards vary in origin, development process, legal status, and in the actual exposure limits. To identify the sources of differences in limits, we evaluated technical aspects of eight standards that included supporting information on the scientific data and rationale.

Exposure of Radio Officers to Radio Frequency Radiation on Danish Merchant Ships

AIHAJ, 1984
Exposure of radio officers to radio frequency radiation from telegraphy and telephony equipment on ships was investigated. Eighty-five measurements were made of 12 radio transmitters operating in the 400 kHz to 25 MHz range (power up to 1200 W) and three VHF telephony transmitters in the 150 MHz band.

Thermal radio radiation from the moon and planets

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1964
Thermal radio radiation has been observed from the moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. The most important result of the observations is the discovery that the temperature at the surface of Venus, beneath the clouds, is greater than 600\deg K.
