Hyperpolarized MRI is a promising clinical imaging modality in oncology, offering at least nine imaging contrasts obtainable with hyperpolarized [1‐13C]pyruvate as the injected agent, depending on the tissue and condition under investigation. Preclinical studies suggest that hyperpolarized MRI is warranted for detecting hepatocellular carcinoma within ...

ABSTRACT Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a targeted radiotherapy that exploits the selective accumulation of the 10B isotope within tumors, followed by irradiation with low‐energy neutrons to induce high linear energy transfer particles with short path lengths, resulting in localized tumor cell destruction while sparing surrounding healthy ...

Dose modeling of superficial brachytherapy applicator geometries using multiple radioisotopes
Abstract Background Superficial brachytherapy enables localized dose delivery for superficial cutaneous lesions, but conventional applicators may be limited in treating extended, irregular, or curved surfaces. Geometric constraints, gaps or overlaps between adjacent applicators, and placement‐related uncertainties can reduce dose uniformity ...

[18F]Nifene, a PET imaging probe for α4β2* nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, was used to discretely measure changes in hippocampus (HP) and subiculum (SUB) of postmortem Parkinson's disease (PD) cases compared to cognitively normal (CN) cases. Significant increased [18F]nifene binding in PD was observed.
