Stellar Radioactivities and diffuse gamma-ray line emission in the Milky Way [PDF]
After a short historical introduction to the field of gamma-ray line astronomy with radioactivities, I present an overview of recent results concerning the massive star yields of those radioactivities. I comment on the implications of those results (concerning long-lived radioactivities, like Al-26 and Fe-60) for gamma-ray line astronomy, in the light ...

Hair radioactivity as a measure of exposure to radioisotopes [PDF]
Since many radioisotopes accumulate in hair, this tropism was investigated by comparing the radioactivity of shaved with plucked hair collected from rats at various time intervals up to 24 hrs after intravenous injection of the ecologically important ...

Systematic calculation on alpha decay and cluster radioactivity of superheavy nuclei [PDF]
In the Coulomb and Proximity Potential Model (CPPM) framework, we have investigated the cluster radioactivity and alpha decay half-lives of superheavy nuclei. We study 22 different versions of proximity potential forms that have been proposed to describe proton radioactivity, two-proton radioactivity, heavy-ion radioactivity, quasi-elastic scattering ...

Radioactive Decay Seen as Temporal Canonical Ensemble [PDF]
The operator of time formalism is applied to radioactive decay. It appears that the proposed approach offers better insight and understanding of the phenomena in a way that the decay exponential-law becomes the Boltzmann distribution in Gibbs treatment of canonical ensemble.

The separation of radioactive and rare earth mineral carried out in PLUTHO produces waste that still contains thorium and uranium. The resulting waste requires further processing to be environmentally friendly.

Analytic formula for the proton radioactivity spectroscopic factor [PDF]
In the present work, we systematically study the spectroscopic factor of proton radioactivity ($S_p$) with $A>100$ using the deformed two-potential approach (D-TPA). It is found that there is a link between the quadrupole deformation parameter of proton emitter and $S_p$.

Measures of radioactivity: a tool for understanding statistical data analysis [PDF]
A learning path on radioactivity in the last class of high school is presented. An introduction to radioactivity and nuclear phenomenology is followed by measurements of natural radioactivity. Background and weak sources are monitored for days or weeks.
