Auxiliary Diaphragm for Radioisotope Teletherapy Units
Acta Radiologica, 1962A simple auxiliary diaphragm for radioisotope teletherapy units is briefly described. The construction permits mounting of different accessories and can be used at any beam direction. Measurements are reported on electron contamination and penumbra reduction when adjustable beam-shaping blocks are introduced in the beam. (auth)

[Cobalt radioisotope teletherapy of patients with metastases to the brain].
Neurologia i neurochirurgia polska, 1987The results are presented of palliative telecobaltotherapy in patients with metastases to the brain. The patients received a dose of 30 Gy in 10 fractions during 2 weeks. Clinical improvement was achieved in 28 out of 33 treated patients (85%). The survival time after the completion of radiotherapy was from 1 to 15 months, mean 5 months.

[Determination of the field length in planning radioisotope teletherapy].
Meditsinskaia radiologiia, 1988The authors present a method for the determination of irradiation field length in the planning of gamma-beam therapy based on the use of decrement lines and decrement surfaces for describing dose distributions. For a case of rotation and static multifield irradiation from open fields when central beam rays lie in the same plane and are crossed at the ...
