Precision measurements of rare radioisotopes with a tandem Van-de-Graaf accelerator

open access: yes, 1983
The existing accelerator facility has been improved for accurate measurements of rare radioisotopes. So far the system has been applied for 14C dating and studies of 10Be in various geophysical samples.

Calcium‐activated chloride channels in pericytes and their role in regulating organ blood flow

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Pericytes are microvascular mural cells with diverse roles. Contractile pericytes directly regulate local perfusion, while non‐contractile pericytes coordinate upstream vascular contractility via propagating electrical signals.

Reactor production and processing of radioisotopes for therapeutic applications in nuclear medicine [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Nuclear reactors continue to play an important role in providing radioisotopes for nuclear medicine. Many reactor-produced radioisotopes are ``neutron rich`` and decay by beta-emission and are thus of interest for therapeutic applications.

Effect of Temperature and Mole Ratio on the Synthesis Yield of Rhenium-Tetrofosmin

open access: yesAtom Indonesia, 2015
Technetium-99m (99mTc) tetrofosmin is widely used in nuclear medicine as a diagnostic agent for myocardial perfusion and as a tumor imaging agent. As a parenteral preparation it requires an evaluation of its pharmacokinetics and stability in-vivo.

Longitudinal Tracking of Astrocyte Reactivity During the Development of Chronic Orofacial Neuropathic Pain Using [18F]‐SMBT‐1 Positron‐Emission Tomography

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 8, August 2026.
Using [18F]‐SMBT‐1 PET, we longitudinally tracked MAO‐B–expressing reactive astrocytes during orofacial neuropathic pain development in rats, revealing region‐ and time‐specific astrocyte activation during pain chronification. ABSTRACT Chronic neuropathic pain represents a significant global health burden and is hypothesized to be maintained by an ...

Methionine Synthase Interacts With the Methionine Adenosyl‐Transferase MATα2 and the DNA Methyltransferase DNMT3b in the Nucleus

open access: yesJournal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 49, Issue 4, July 2026.
This study shows that methionine synthase (MS) interacts with MATα2, responsible for SAM production, and the methyltransferase DNMT3b in the nucleus. These results support the idea that spatial compartmentalization of one‐carbon metabolism could play a major role in regulating the epigenome.
