Net mineralizable soil phosphorus cannot be measured by non‐isotopic approaches

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract While radioisotopic pool dilution is widely regarded as the most reliable method for estimating soil phosphorus mineralization (Pmin), high costs, low throughput, and safety requirements limit its use. We evaluated the potential of non‐radioisotopic approaches to estimating net Pmin by difference before and after aerobic incubation, analogous ...

A Qualitative Review of Clinical Decision‐Making Using [99mTc]Tc‐Mercaptoacetyltriglycine Renal Scintigraphy in Patients With Malignant Ureteral Obstruction

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences
Introduction Urinary drainage (ureteral stenting or percutaneous nephrostomy) is commonly used for malignant ureteral obstruction (MUO), but optimal indications remain unclear. [99mTc]Tc‐mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) renal scintigraphy assesses urinary

Trace analysis of radioisotopes by laser spectroscopy and mass spectrometry

open access: yes, 2019
Trace analysis (at fg-level) of radioisotopes requires a considerable push in analytical technology. Among most sensitive are a Time-Resolved Laser-Induced Fluorescence (TRLIF) and Chemiluminescence (TRLIC) methods for detection of elemental compositions

Radiotherapy and Cardiovascular Disease Survival Risk in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Population‐Based Study From the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Database

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background It is well known that radiotherapy increases the cardiovascular risk of cancer patients, but there are few large‐sample studies with cardiovasular‐specific death as the endpoint in lung cancer patients. Methods Patients aged ≥ 18 years diagnosed with non‐small cell lung cancer were retrospectively enrolled from the Surveillance ...

Uric Acid and Uric Acid Index in Predicting Coronary Artery Disease, Cerebrovascular Events, and Mortality: A Sex‐Stratified Cohort Study

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 6, June 2026.
Uric acid index, integrating SUA, TG, and FBG, outperforms serum uric acid alone in predicting coronary artery disease and mortality over 10 years, with stronger effects in women, highlighting its value as a more robust cardiovascular risk biomarker.

Laser driven photoproduction of radioisotopes

open access: yes, 2017
Tato práce ukazuje možnost použití 25 TW titan-safírového laserového systému ve výzkumném centru PALS v Praze k produkci radioizotopů. V první části je uveden princip vytvoření svazku urychlených elektronů pomocí laserového pulzu.

Scrape versus imprint cytology in sentinel lymph nodes of breast cancer patients after neoadjuvant therapy: Does combination add value?

open access: yesCancer Cytopathology, Volume 134, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Background The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of cytological methods in intraoperative consultation for patients receiving neoadjuvant therapy (NT), to compare the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of imprint, scrape, and combined cytology, and to assess the reliability of these methods in lymph nodes (LNs)
