Sex‐Specific Associations With Abnormal Myocardial Flow Reserve in Non‐Obstructive Coronary Artery Disease: Insights From a Real‐World Cadmium‐Zinc‐Telluride SPECT Study

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 4, April 2026.
In 393 NOCAD patients undergoing CZT‐SPECT, LDL‐C was independently associated with abnormal MFR, with a significant sex×MDRD‐eGFR interaction. Female patients showed modest LDL‐C discrimination and distinct perfusion–diastolic phenotypes, suggesting sex‐modified cardiorenal‐microvascular relationships in coronary microvascular dysfunction.

A Qualitative Review of Clinical Decision‐Making Using [99mTc]Tc‐Mercaptoacetyltriglycine Renal Scintigraphy in Patients With Malignant Ureteral Obstruction

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences
Introduction Urinary drainage (ureteral stenting or percutaneous nephrostomy) is commonly used for malignant ureteral obstruction (MUO), but optimal indications remain unclear. [99mTc]Tc‐mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) renal scintigraphy assesses urinary

Ion Transport Across a Bilayer Lipid Membrane in the Presence of Dilute Tetraphenylborate

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 4, April 2026.
The relationship between the membrane potential and the steady‐state current was recorded by normal pulse voltammetry. It is proved that the relationship symmetrical about the origin point (0 V, 0 A) mainly results from not only the transport of TPhB− but also that of Na+ between W1 and W2 across the BLM.

Event‐driven shifts in river and reservoir sediment sources: Cottonwood River and John Redmond Reservoir, USA

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 4, April 2026.
In‐channel flow events are dominated by streambank sediment (50%) whereas downstream lakebed deposits are dominated by cropland sources (40%). This shift in sediment provenance is event‐driven: during infrequent, out‐of‐bank flood events, vast quantities of floodplain cropland soil are mobilized in exceedance of the river's bank‐dominated internal load.

Ultrasmall Au10–12 Nanoclusters: A Novel Platform for 223Ra‐Targeted Tumor α‐Therapy

open access: yesExploration, Volume 6, Issue 2, April 2026.
Encapsulating 223Ra in Au10‐12 nanoclusters and functionalizing them with RGD peptides enables targeted α‐therapy and immune microenvironment remodeling in non‐osseous tumors like triple‐negative breast cancer. This study establishes a foundational framework for novel 223Ra‐labeled α‐radiopharmaceuticals and shows strong potential for clinical ...

Physico‐Nutritional Profiling and Assessment of Proteins as Well as Soluble and Insoluble Phenolic Acids in Gamma Irradiated Wheat Grains Through SWATH‐MS and HPLC Analysis and Their Functionality

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Gamma irradiation (Dmin 650 Gy) proved effective in controlling insect pest infestations in stored wheat grains which otherwise undergo extensive losses during storage. SWATH‐MS based proteomics affirmed integrity of major storage proteins including prolamines and increased extractability of phenolics (soluble free & conjugated) was observed in ...

Kinetics of sulfate‐ and iron‐dependent anaerobic methane oxidation in freshwater lake sediment

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, Volume 71, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM) is a potentially important sink for methane in freshwater sediments. Assessing the contribution of AOM to methane budgets requires an understanding of AOM process kinetics, yet such information remains scarce.

Motor and Cognitive Outcome After Subthalamic Nucleus Deep Brain Stimulation in Patients with Parkinson's Disease Harboring GBA1 Variant

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, Volume 13, Issue 4, Page 973-984, April 2026.
Abstract Background Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is effective for Parkinson's disease (PD); however, its efficacy varies with genetic background, such as the GBA1 variant—the causative gene of Gaucher disease—associated with increased PD risk and cognitive decline after subthalamic nucleus (STN)‐DBS.

2D Iron Oxide at the Graphene/SiC(0001) Interface

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 8, 22 April 2026.
2D iron oxide was successfully formed via intercalation of Fe and O into the graphene/SiC(0001) interface. Atomic‐resolution electron microscopy revealed that the 2D iron oxide is encapsulated by graphene and sharply interfaced with SiC. This material is suggested to exhibit antiferromagnetic behavior at low temperatures.

Upper Ocean Cycling of Iron South of the Polar Front: Biological Patterns and Processes

open access: yesGlobal Biogeochemical Cycles, Volume 40, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Samples from the upper 300 m along the 52°S band, south of the Antarctic Polar Front in the Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean, including a 3‐week monitoring of a persistent bloom, were analyzed to advance our understanding of iron cycling and supply to recurrent phytoplankton blooms.
