The gas-phase gamma-ray radiolysis of N15N14O has been investigated as a function of dose, concentration, and temperature (-80 to 376 °C). Around 40 °C the ratios N 2 30 / N 2 29 and N15O/N14O are 0.1 and 0.4, respectively, independent of dose and concentration.

The subsurface production, accumulation, and cycling of hydrogen (H2), and cogenetic elements such as sulfate (SO42-) and the noble gases (e.g., 4He, 40Ar) remains a critical area of research in the 21st century. Understanding how these elements generate,

Radiation-induced polymerization of 3-hexylthiophene in oxygen-free and oxygen-saturated dichloromethane solvent [PDF]
We thank Jean-Michel Guigner (IMPMC, Université Pierre et Marie Curie, France) for Cryo-TEM experiments. As alternative radiolytic approach, the synthesis of P3HT was made possible thanks to the oxidation of 3HT monomers by chloromethyl and dichloromethyl

GC investigation of post-irradiation oxidation phenomena on polypropylene
The paper summarizes the results of research on gas products of polypropylene (PP) radiolysis. Particular attention was paid to the phenomena of post-radiation degradation of PP. The protective effect of selected aromatic compounds was investigated.

Radiolysis of ammonia was studied extensively; the primary process of hydrogen formation was investigated in detail. It was concluded that the G values of nonscavengeable hydrogen molecules are 0.64-0.84 and those of scavengeable hydrogen radicals are 5-12. (LK)

The pulse radiolysis of methane has been studied in the absence and presence of electron scavengers such as SF6 and CD3I and positive ion scavengers such as i-C4D10 in order to define the role of the intermediates H, C, CH, CH2, CH3, CH 5 + , and C 2 H 5 + in product formation.

Native H2 Exploration in the Western Pyrenean Foothills
Native hydrogen (H2) may represent a new carbon free‐energy resource, but to date there is no specific exploration guide to target H2‐fertile geological settings. Here, we present the first soil gas survey specifically designed to explore H2 migration in
