The origin of short-lived radionuclides and the astrophysical environment of solar system formation
Based on early solar system abundances of short-lived radionuclides (SRs), such as $^{26}$Al (T$_{1/2} = 0.74$ Myr) and $^{60}$Fe (T$_{1/2} = 1.5$ Myr), it is often asserted that the Sun was born in a large stellar cluster, where a massive star ...

Abstract In oncology drug development, measuring drug concentrations at the tumor site and at the targeted receptor remains an ongoing challenge. Positron emission tomography (PET)‐imaging is a promising noninvasive method to quantify intratumor exposure of a radiolabeled drug (biodistribution data) and target saturation by treatment doses in vivo ...

ABSTRACT This study presents a multi‐analytical archaeometric approach for the compositional characterization and chronological discrimination of Benin metal sculptures in relation to the 1897 Punitive Expedition. The methodology integrates elemental composition (XRF and ICP), stable lead isotope ratios (MC‐ICP‐MS) for alloy system characterization ...

Recent Research Involving the Transfer of Radionuclides to Milk
The radionuclides in milk, which result from exposure of dairy cows to radioactive fallout, are a major factor in assessment of internal radiation of humans. To evaluate the radionuclide intake of people from fallout-contaminated milk requires information about feed sources and milk distribution.

Palaeoenvironmental records along the eastern coast of Thailand remain sparse, with only a few studies attempting to reconstruct past climatic and environmental conditions. However, additional palaeoenvironmental, palaeoclimatic and sea‐level records are needed to improve our understanding of coastal evolution and local environmental changes.
