Water‐Depth‐Dependent 231Pa/230Th Responses in the Central North Atlantic Since the Last Glacial Maximum

open access: yesPaleoceanography and Paleoclimatology, Volume 41, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) plays an important role in regulating Earth's climate through inter‐hemispheric heat transport and has undergone substantial variations during past climate transitions. Sedimentary 231Pa/230Th is widely used to reconstruct AMOC strength, yet its application is complicated by its ...

In Vivo Imaging of the Innate Immune System in the Pancreas in New‐Onset and Long‐Standing Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 6, Page 4876-4883, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease, but knowledge of immune cell infiltration in the human pancreas is limited due to the risks associated with pancreatic biopsies. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of imaging innate immune cells in vivo using positron emission tomography (PET).

Neuroendocrine tumours through an epigenetic lens: Emerging insights for diagnosis and treatment

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are well‐differentiated epithelial neuroendocrine neoplasms that frequently develop in the small intestine, pancreas, and lungs. NETs originate from neuroendocrine cells specialized in hormone secretion implicated in a number of physiological processes.

Low Expression of Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 in Resected Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors: Relationship With Lymph Node and Distant Metastasis

open access: yesPathology International, Volume 76, Issue 6, June 2026.
In a cohort of 75 resected GEP‐NET cases, immunohistochemical analysis showed that low CADM1 expression was significantly associated with lymph node and distant metastasis. Low CADM1 expression remained independently associated with metastasis in multivariate analysis.
