Adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy in breast cancer

open access: yesJournal of British Surgery, 1986

Combining Radiation‐Treated Tumor Vaccines With Mn‐MOF Nanoadjuvants to Amplify Radiation Induced Anti‐Tumor Immune Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy‐treated tumor membranes are integrated with Mn‐MOF nanoadjuvants to generate Mn@RM, a lymph node‐draining nanovaccine that delivers radiotherapy‐remodeled antigenic components. Mn@RM enhances dendritic cell activation, amplifies T cell‐mediated antitumor immunity, and synergizes with radiotherapy and PD‐1 blockade for combination cancer ...

Advances in Cancer Immunotherapy for Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer immunotherapy for solid tumors is rapidly evolving beyond classical checkpoint blockade toward more precise strategies. Emerging checkpoint targets, bispecific antibodies, antibody–drug conjugate combinations, personalized vaccines, cellular therapies, and engineered cytokines are expanding therapeutic possibilities, while biomarker‐guided ...

Socio-economic inequalities in testicular cancer survival within two clinical studies. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
BACKGROUND: Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men under 35 years of age, and has the highest survival for adult male malignancies. Despite the fact that survival is very high, there is evidence that survival differs between socio-economic ...

Single‐Cell Reveal GALNT7‐Dependent Ferroptosis Suppression as a Mechanism of Immunotherapy Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated clinical and mechanistic analyses identify GALNT7 as a ferroptosis‐suppressive regulator associated with immunotherapy resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer. GALNT7 depletion promotes lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ferroptosis, enhances CD8+ T‐cell activation and IFN‐γ production, and sensitizes tumors to PD‐1 blockade,

Adjuvant radiotherapy after local excision of rectal cancer

open access: yes, 2019
BACKGROUND:Local excision is now accepted as a standard treatment option for certain patients with early rectal cancer. However, there is a higher risk of local recurrence than after radical surgery with total mesorectal excision.

Outcomes of definitive radiotherapy vs. laryngectomy followed by adjuvant radiotherapy in patients with locally advanced laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma: real-world experience in a referral cancer center

open access: yesRadiation Oncology
Background Laryngeal cancer is a common head and neck cancer. Surgical treatment can impair patients’ voice and swallowing function, making definitive radiotherapy a viable alternative for locally advanced cases.

Impact of Abdominoperineal Resection on Postoperative Male Sexual Function After Minimally Invasive Rectal Cancer Surgery: A Subgroup Analysis From the LANDMARC Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Abdominoperineal resection (APR) after minimally invasive rectal cancer surgery was associated with significantly higher rates of erectile and early ejaculatory dysfunction compared with anal‐sparing surgery. Although ejaculatory function showed partial recovery over time, erectile dysfunction persisted up to 12 months postoperatively.

Ewing's sarcoma family tumors of the humerus: outcome of patients treated with radiotherapy, surgery or surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy

open access: yes, 2009
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Local treatment for non-metastatic Ewing's sarcoma family tumors (ESFTs) is controversial. Results achieved in a single institution in patients with ESFT of the humerus are presented.
