Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Monte Carlo study of radiation dose enhancement by gadolinium in megavoltage and high dose rate radiotherapy. [PDF]
MRI is often used in tumor localization for radiotherapy treatment planning, with gadolinium (Gd)-containing materials often introduced as a contrast agent. Motexafin gadolinium is a novel radiosensitizer currently being studied in clinical trials.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Diamond Detectors for Radiotherapy X-Ray Small Beam Dosimetry
Many new X-Ray treatment machines using small and/or non-standard radiation fields, e.g., Tomotherapy, Cyber-knife, and linear accelerators equipped with high-resolution multi-leaf collimators and on-board imaging system, have been introduced in the ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Radiotherapy and creation of safety feeling
Radiotherapy is one of the most common treatments of cancer that are used alone or with the combination of other treatments. Radiotherapy are used before surgery for tumor shrinking, pain relief, wound healing or prevention of continues bleedings.

Monte Carlo calculation of shielding properties of newly developed heavy concretes for megavoltage photon beam spectra used in radiation therapy [PDF]
Introduction: Globally, the need for radiotherapy as a part of cancer management increases every year. Thus, the shielding for megavoltage radiotherapy rooms is of great importance. Materials and Methods: In the present study, 14 types of developed high-
