A complete characterization of Radon planes whose unit spheres are regular polygons

open access: yes, 2018
We study the structure of the unit sphere of polygonal Radon planes from a geometric point of view. In particular, we prove that a $ 2 $-dimensional real polygonal Banach space $ \mathbb{X} $ cannot be a Radon plane if the number of vertices of its unit ...

Iron Oxide Nanozyme as Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species Scavenger to Regulate Microglial Homeostasis in Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
6 nm iron oxide nanoparticles (IONP6) exhibit enzyme‐like activities that scavenge reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS), including nitric oxide (NO). In stroke models, IONP6 promotes microglial polarization toward the M2 phenotype, reduces neuroinflammation, and improves neurological outcomes, offering a promising drug‐free approach to mitigate ...

Radon levels in karst caves in Slovenia

open access: yesActa Carsologica, 2012
A review is given on the radon survey in the Slovenian karst caves, those open for tourists and those for cavers and speleologists only. Radon concentrations differed markedly from cave to cave, as well as from point to point in the same cave.

Learnable Diffusion Framework for Mouse V1 Neural Decoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce Sensorium‐Viz, a diffusion‐based framework for reconstructing high‐fidelity visual stimuli from mouse primary visual cortex activity. By integrating a novel spatial embedding module with a Diffusion Transformer (DiT) and a synthetic‐response augmentation strategy, our model outperforms state‐of‐the‐art fMRI‐based baselines, enabling robust

Persistently Increased Expression of PKMzeta and Unbiased Gene Expression Profiles Identify Hippocampal Molecular Traces of a Long‐Term Active Place Avoidance Memory and “Shadow” Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein complexes like KIBRA‐PKMζ are crucial for maintaining memories, forming month‐long protein traces in memory‐tagged neurons, but conventional RNA‐seq analysis fails to detect their transcript changes, leaving memory molecules undetected in the shadows of abundantly‐expressed genes.

Biomimetic Cell Membrane‐Coated MOFs System for Targeted Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomimetic MOF‐based drug delivery nanoplatforms synthesized using liposomes or cell membranes as camouflage for multiple cancer therapeutics. ABSTRACT The integration of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) with cell membrane coatings has emerged as a revolutionary strategy to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of cancer nanomedicine.

Tunable Sound Absorption via Evanescent‐Wave Coupling in Asymmetric Bilayer Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tunable sound absorption is realized through a bilayer metasurface system governed by evanescent‐wave coupling. This work demonstrates that such evanescent‐wave coupling provides a controllable scattering channel that destructively interferes with the specular reflection.

IAEA Safety Guides vs. Actual Challenges for Design and Conduct of Indoor Radon Surveys

open access: yesAtmosphere
An analysis of the international radon regulatory framework identified actual challenges for the design and conduct of indoor radon surveys, though there is little discussion on this issue in the radon community.
