Abstract By means of the method of solid state track detection of electrically charged alpha particles the concentration of radon was measured in lead and zinc mine, “Stari Trg” in Kosovska Mitrovica as well as in appartments of Pristina and its neighborhood. The concentration of radon in Stari Trg pit ranged from 50 Bq/m3 to 1000 Bq/m3.
