Non‐Invasive Diagnosis of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy by Breath
The use of sensor technologies for the diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) by identification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in breath samples. By combining gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry (GC‐MS) and electronic nose (eNose) platforms, specific VOC patterns associated with HCM are detected and analyzed.

The Effect of Grain Size on Radon Exhalation Rate in Natural-dust and Stone-dust Samples [PDF]
Radiation dose to human population due to inhalation of radon and its progeny contributes more than 50% of the total dose from the natural sources which is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. In the present work the dependence of radon

RADON EXHALATION FROM BUILDING MATERIALS USED IN YEMEN
The present article seeks to determine the annual effective doses of 222Rn exposure, effective radium content and radon exhalation rates in some building materials from the local market of Ibb province, Yemen. A total of 33 samples of building materials were collected from the target area. The radon exhalation rate and effective radium content in these

Effect of Ultrasonic Treatment on Radon Exhalation from Porous Media: An Experimental Case Study [PDF]
Radon is internationally recognized as one of the seven seismic precursors. A self-assembly ultrasonic generator and experimental apparatus for radon measurement were utilized to explore the radon exhalation regularities of water-bearing porous media ...

Functional Lung Imaging Identifies Peripheral Ventilation Changes in ꞵ‐ENaC Mice
β‐ENaC‐Tg mice have previously been shown to exhibit muco‐obstructive disease and emphysema. This study analysed lung function in β‐ENaC‐Tg mice using XV functional imaging and flexiVent assessments. XV enabled ventilation defects to be identified and localised, and the flexiVent comfirmed increased lung compliance and reduced tissue elastance ...
