Development of new rail repair profiles for different operating conditions
Introduction. Currently, contact-fatigue defects prevail on rails with increased intensity of lateral and vertical rail wear. The authors consider it essential to develop rational repair profiles for sections with different track plan, as current repair ...

Design Method of Rail Grinding Profile Based on Wheel Rail Contact Relationship
AbstractWhen the railway track is damaged, it is essential to grind it in in a timely manner to enhance the wheel-rail contact performance. This paper relies primarily on the rolling radius difference function as the main design basis, taking the expected distribution between the wheel and the rail as the boundary condition. In cases where the abscissa

Modelling the Dynamic Behaviour of the Wheel-Rail Interface by Using a Novel 3D Wheel-Rail Contact Model [PDF]
Methods for multibody modelling and simulation should accurately replicate the dynamic behaviour of rail-wheel interface including precise values for wheel-rail contact positions. This paper studies the development of a novel 3-D wheel-rail contact model

A LightGBM‐based ensemble learning framework with SHAP interpretability analysis was developed for predicting ceiling temperature in canyon‐wind tunnel fires. The model demonstrated robust generalization (R2 = 0.7476) under unseen extreme conditions, with fire‐source location identified as the primary factor driving temperature evolution.

The Augmented Leader: Four Competencies for AI‐Integrated Leadership Development in Higher Education
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping decision‐making and organizational life, yet leadership development in higher education has not evolved at the same pace. To address this gap, the article proposes the concept of the “augmented leader” and develops a four‐competency framework for AI‐integrated leadership: algorithmic literacy ...

ABSTRACT This paper provides an overview of high‐temperature superconducting (HTS) cables in DC systems, with a focus on their deployment in high‐voltage DC (HVDC) networks. The assessment of HTS cable properties—such as extremely low electrical resistance, high current‐carrying capacity and a compact geometry—and their comparison with those of ...

This essay argues that the Rocío hallazgo legend employs divine self‐placement to turn territorial uncertainty into sacred stewardship. The Virgin's miraculous refusal to move establishes the marshlands of Las Rocinas as a communal religious site, transforming a marginal and legally ambiguous area.
