Refining the modelling of vehicle-track interaction
A refined model of a railway vehicle running on a straight track is developed. In this model the wheelsets and the rails are modelled as flexible bodies and a detailed model of the wheel-rail contact is used.

Rail-Wheel Friction Management in Rail System Vehicles
In rail systems, which is one of the reliable transportation ways of our age, the first interaction between vehicle and infrastructure starts with rail and wheel contact. In cases where the friction that will arise from the rail-wheel contact is high, abrasions and noise will occur on the wheel and the rail outside the allowable limits.

Circular Economy Pathways for Airport Climate Change Mitigation
ABSTRACT Airport operators face growing climate‐change pressures; the circular economy offers pathways to reduce impacts and recover resources. We examine how airport operators apply the circular economy in practice. We use an exploratory qualitative multicase design based on practitioner‐generated documents (e.g., press releases and sustainability ...

Wheel/rail contact model for rail vehicle dynamics
An advanced method using progressive concept of correspondence is applied to create new wheel/rail model based on the virtual penetration theory. The geometry and mechanism of contact are solved simultaneously because of the independency in a defined correspondence.
