Technical Support for Detection and Prediction of Rainfall
2021 2nd International Conference on Smart Electronics and Communication (ICOSEC), 2021This project evaluates the effectiveness of some DM methods for predicting rainfall using India's historical weather data gathered from the IDM database. Including 10 attributes from the collected meteorological data, only 5 features are generally believed to be significant for precipitation forecasting. The following phases of research are used in the

Rainfall erosivity in Slovenia: Sensitivity estimation and trend detection
Environmental Research, 2018Slovenia is one of the EU countries with the largest values and largest amounts of variability in rainfall erosivity, with maximum annual values exceeding 10,000 MJ mm ha-1 h-1 yr-1. Five-minute rainfall data was analysed from 10 Slovenian rainfall stations with data-length availability longer than 25 years with a maximum data length of 69 years and a ...

Theoretical and Applied Climatology, 2021
The lack of sufficient rainfall data has been a common problem that hampers water resources planning in many developing countries with sparse weather monitoring networks. Satellite rainfall data requires validation to be considered adequate for any purpose it may serve.

Fuzzy Power Converter for Rainfall Detection System
Journal of Optical Communication Electronics, 2023The efficient utilization of energy resources is of paramount importance in modern society, and the demand for intelligent systems to optimize power consumption is steadily increasing. This paper presents a novel approach to address this need by introducing a Fuzzy Power Converter (FPC) for a Rainfall Detection System (RDS).

Detection of trends in annual extreme rainfall
Hydrological Processes, 2003AbstractInformation on intensity–duration–frequency of rainfall is commonly required for a variety of hydrologic applications. In this study, trends are estimated for different durations of annual extreme rainfall using the regional average Mann–Kendall S trend test. The method of L‐moments was employed to delineate homogeneous regions.

Journal of Hydrology, 2020
Abstract Rainfall erosivity is the driving force of soil erosion and it is characterized by a large variability in space and time. In order to obtain robust estimates of rainfall erosivity, long series of high-frequency rainfall data are needed, which are often not available for large study areas.

Detecting Anomaly and Replacement Prediction for Rainfall Open Data in Thailand
2021 18th International Joint Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering (JCSSE), 2021The rainfall data set usually contains missing values due to easily broken sensors. In Thailand, many public agencies collect rainfall values, including National Hydro Informatics (HII), Thai Meteorological Department, etc., since the data are valuable in terms of rainfall prediction, which is important for an agricultural country like Thailand.

Change detection in rainfall and temperature patterns over India
Proceedings of the Third International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery from Sensor Data, 2009The changes in rainfall and temperature patterns over India were detected using Mann-Kendall trend test, Bayesian change point analysis, and a hidden Markov model. A regionalization method was developed to identify homogeneous regions that experience similar weather states.
