Rainfall Microphysics and Instrument Measurement Assessments via Rainfall Simulators
This study presents investigations on rainfall microphysical processes and ground-based rainfall instrument measurements through laboratory rainfall simulations with careful considerations for in-situ observations and validations.  Controlled laboratory rainfall experimentation has a pivotal role in systematic investigations to deepen our ...Firat Y. ELECTRONIC CONTROLS FOR RAINFALL SIMULATORS
Transactions of the ASAE, 1997Rainfall simulators provide control of natural environmental factors such as rainfall intensity and duration to determine basic information on hydrologic and chemical processes within watersheds. Three electronic controllers were designed to provide a range of solutions to automate rainfall simulators.

Water, Air, & Soil Pollution, 2019
Soil pollution with radioactive cesium (134Cs and 137Cs) has been considered one of the major environmental issues of agricultural farmlands after the nuclear power station incident which occurred in Fukushima Prefecture on 11th March 2011. A small-scale portable rainfall-runoff simulator was developed to conduct the rainfall-runoff experiments in the ...

Earth Surface Processes and Landforms, 2000
Rainfall simulators are widely used yet there is little evidence in the literature to show that their spatial and temporal variability has been adequately taken into account. For experiments that are concerned only with some aggregate or mean effect of simulated rain then such variations may be unimportant.
