Tillage does not impact soil greenhouse gas emissions in a Central Texas rainfed maize–cotton system
Abstract Agricultural soils are a significant source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, primarily as N2O. Monitoring how management practices impact soil gas fluxes (CO2, CH4, and N2O) is useful for making sure conservation practices (e.g., no‐till) are sustainable with regards to all potential environmental impacts.

ABSTRACT Understanding photosynthetic processes under field conditions is critical for identifying physiological determinants of seed yield (SY) in soybean. This study evaluated leaf gas exchange and chlorophyll fluorescence traits in seven soybean cultivars grown under irrigated (IR) and rainfed (RF) environments in the Mississippi Delta.

Does high-intensity light pre-treatment improve drought response in Thymus zygis ssp. gracilis?
Global concern regarding climate change is prompting the development of strategies to improve the resistance of plants to abiotic stresses. Drought is one of the main threats that affect the productivity of rainfed crops, such as T. zygis ssp.

Multi‐Criteria Analysis to identify marginal land on which three crops (Safflower, castor bean, and Ethiopian mustard) were simulated with two process‐based models (DSSAT, ARMOSA) under two different agronomical management minimums (rainfed and no fertilization) and low input (half‐water and half‐nitrogen).

ABSTRACT The common bean is an important crop in Eastern Africa for smallholder farmers, yet yields are often reduced due to pests, particularly Ophiomyia spencerella and Ophiomyia phaseoli. These species are partially sympatric and commonly known as the bean fly. Here, based on the similarity of their life history and developmental biology, field data

ABSTRACT Climate change‐driven heat and drought stresses during reproductive stages significantly threaten wheat productivity. To investigate the genetic and physiological basis of combined heat–drought (HD) tolerance, we evaluated 345 wheat genotypes under three environments of HD stresses, non‐stress glasshouse conditions and a late‐sowing field ...

SCENARIOS OF SAGO PALM FOR EACH CLUMP BASED ON THE CROP WATER REQUIREMENTS IN THREE STAGES OF GROWTH IN RAINFED DRY LAND [PDF]
Rainfed dry land for sago palms requires water and proper crop management to grow and produce well. The aim of this research is to create a scenario of sago plant management (the number of plants) in one clump based on the plant water need in the initial

ABSTRACT Improving photosynthesis is proposed as a means of enhancing crop productivity. To assess whether simultaneous increases in light use‐efficiency and carbon assimilation are additive, we investigated the impact of elevated CO2 on the performance of a transgenic soybean line engineered for faster relaxation of photoprotection by overexpression ...

Re-evaluating soil moisture-based drought criteria for rainfed crops in peninsular India
Background: Peninsular India, being completely under the influence of monsoonal climate, suffers crop yield variability due to rainfall distribution-induced soil moisture constraints.

End‐of‐season corn stalk analysis as a tool to fine‐tune potassium and nitrogen management
Abstract Corn (Zea mays L.) requires proper nutrient management for optimal growth, and tissue testing plays an important role in refining recommendations. Corn stalk nitrate test (CSNT) is used to evaluate nitrogen (N) management; however, a comparable plant‐based diagnostic tool for potassium (K) is lacking. This study evaluated extractants for stalk‐
