An Effective Baseline Correction Algorithm Using Broad Gaussian Vectors for Chemical Agent Detection with Known Raman Signature Spectra

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Raman spectroscopy, which analyzes a Raman scattering spectrum of a target, has emerged as a key technology for non-contact chemical agent (CA) detection. Many CA detection algorithms based on Raman spectroscopy have been studied.

Affecting the Properties of Copper–Graphene Electroconductive Composite by Severe Plastic Deformation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Copper‐based composites enhanced with carbon feature convenient mechanical properties and favorable electric conductivity. Processing via deformation and thermomechanical treatments can introduce advantageous microstructures further enhancing their performance. Herein, copper–graphene powder‐based composites are directly consolidated via rotary swaging

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

Deep learning-assisted reconstruction of Raman speckle images transmitted through biological tissues

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences
Precise delineation of tumor tissues during surgery is hindered by the strong scattering and absorption of photons in biological tissues, which obscure molecular imaging signals and hinder intraoperative navigation.

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Influence of the Crystal Texture on Raman Spectroscopy of the AlN Films Prepared by Pulse Laser Deposition

open access: yesJournal of Spectroscopy, 2013
We investigate the Raman scattering of the AlN films prepared by pulse laser deposition. The Raman spectrum and the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the AlN films were compared to find out the influence of the crystal texture on the Raman scattering ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Orbital angular momentum impact on light scattering by phonons tested experimentally

open access: yesAPL Photonics
Polarized Raman spectra of piezoelectric bismuth germanate single crystal were recorded using vortex light in order to verify the predicted symmetry selection rules for Raman scattering of photons with nonzero orbital angular momentum.
