2004Fully biodegradable, environmentally friendly composites were made from short and long ramie fibers and soy protein polymer composites. Since both the fibers and the protein-based resin contain polar groups, they showed good interaction and high interfacial shear strength. The short fiber composites can be used for packaging uses.
