Effect of Fiber Orientation on Tensile and Flexural Properties of Ramie Fiber Composite

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology, 2019
This current effort appraised the effect of fiber alignment on mechanical possessions of ramie fiber reinforced epoxy composites. In this study ramie fiber is used by means of reinforcement which treated with NaOH solution for improving the attachment strength among fiber and resin by eliminating moisture substances.

Lignocellulosic-Based/High Density Polyethylene Composites: A Comprehensive Study on Fiber Characteristics and Performance Evaluation

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Lignocellulosic-based polymer composites have gained significant interest due to their ‘’green’’ character as a response to environmental concerns. A diverse array of lignocellulosic fibers is utilized, depending on fiber dimensions, chemical composition,

Transcriptome Assembly of the Bast Fiber Crop, Ramie, Boehmeria nivea (L.) Gaud. (Urticaceae)

open access: yesFibers, 2018
Ramie (Boehmeria nivea) is a perennial crop valued for its strong bast fibers. Unlike other major bast fiber crops, ramie fiber processing does not include retting, but does require degumming, suggesting distinctive features in pectin and the development
